About Digital Fine Art

What about digital fine art? That’s a question many people ask. Is it legitimate?

Digital Art, in my most humble opinion, is a process with which art is created by using computers, in, at least, one of its stages, before the final result is reached.

No matter what, where, or how much the artist has studied his labor.
No matter what type of media or tools the guy is using. whether it’s a fork on a block of sand, a pencil on paper, a photographic composition, a computer program photo filter, or a stylus with a graphics tablet… anything you may think of…

When and how to stop and consider that work finished (or forever unfinished!)

That decision makes his work unique and, for that reason,

Art is not about the technique or the tools. It’s about

So, unless there is no decision made, it is art.

And, if the computer or any other digital device has been used, It is Digital Art.

I am not an artist. I do however have a stepdaughter that is an artist. Yes it does not matter what tools you are using.
Case in point would be a person working in a body shop repairing cars. When the job is about finished they then have to apply paint. I once had a neighbor that did body work. He said “a good painter knows when not to put another layer on” That is art.
So I personally think you are right on target.
Keep up the good work (Artist)
