In São Paulo we have a Brazilian perfect roast beef sandwich. It was created with Lebanese inspiration in the 50’s. Check out this delicacy!
The first time I tried this sandwich was in a club that my family used to take me every weekend. I grew up eating this wonderful lunch option thinking it was the best stuff I could get.there until I found a place where hey made (and still make) an even better one. But, one day, some friends took me to Frevo, a traditional diner in São Paulo city, a place where they made (and still make) an even better Beirut. In fact, The Perfect Roast Beef Sandwich I have ever tasted. And believe me: I’ve tasted a few.
Place the "open sandwich" in the oven as if you were baking a pizza until the cheese is melted.
Sprinkle the melted mozzarella with oregano and the Arabic seasoning.
Close the sandwich with the top part of the bread.
Cut the sandwich into for pie-slices.
Add mayo and ketchup over each bite you take.
This sandwich must be oven baked much like a pizza. The chalange here is to:
Keep the bread crunchy
Avoid the tomato from watering
Melt the mozzarella
The olive oil will act as a lubricant to avoid the bread from absorbing any liquids.
