The first time I saw that event was in New Jersey, USA, while vacationing as guest at my dears cousins, Lucila and Roberto, home near Freehold.

My wife and I could not be more delighted since we were able to spend 40 days there and appreciate the whole process from beginning to end.

During a few weeks in the autumn season, leaf colors are affected by an incident that changes their common green colors of various deciduous trees and bushes.

It plays a significant role for tourism, in some parts of the United States and Canada.

The so called "leaf peeping" tourism  curing around October to November in the North Hemisphere and April to May in the South, is a major contribution to local economies during those periods.

Thank you for the article! You are quite right though there is nothing better than having a beautiful picture of fall foliage in your living room! The colors are immensely beautiful and can draw you in due to the beauty in the foliage itself. Thank you for the comment on leaf peeping as well! I never knew that existed till I read your article! That sounds like a lot of fun!
