Miami Giclee Prints

Creating Miami giclee prints was never imagined in first Miami visit back in the 80’s. I was on the road to San Francisco to study computer graphics. Now 30 or so years in the future the picture bellow is fruit from the past.

We decided to land in Miami to get to know it a bit and be able to take my 1 year old son to Disney.

It was a time when the Cuban exodus was happening heavily and Miami

Back then the city was not as tourism oriented as it is today.

Nevertheless, it was a fantastic visit and I have been there several times along all these years.

My cousins, Lucila and Roberto lived there for a while and I went to visit them on one occasion.

All that helped me see how it became a fantastic touristic world landmark.

The 44th-most populated city proper in the United States, Miami  is located on the Atlantic coast in southeastern Florida

The Miami-Dade County metro area is the eighth-most populous and fourth-largest urban area in the United States. 33rd among global cities.

One of richest cities in the United States, Miami is a major mercantile center. It is also the largest concentration of international banks and home to many large national and international companies.

A hub for arts and culture,  the city is a standard in  quality of life infrastructure. A Civic Center carries hospitals, research institutes, medical centers, and biotechnology industries.

The “Capital of Latin America”, is the second metropolis with a Spanish-speaking majority, and the first with Cuban heritage.

Miami is a cradle for some of the largest international cruise ships and the busiest port for passengers.

For over 20 years, the Port of Miami, “The Cruise Capital of the World”, has become the number one cruise travel around the planet.

You are very talented and have beautiful artwork. I like your use of bold colors in the Miami Skyline…much more interesting than the typical pastels associated with Miami. I also like the contrast of the dark clouds with the bright lights below.
I’m intrigued by the green on the right — a reflection of a sundown? It helps draw my eyes from left to right.
    Bravo!

      Hello, David,

Thank you for your kind words. You certainly have a keen eye for art. Green will emerge from the heat of great healthy dialog between Norse and Latin cultures. Sometimes it’s a little violent, but no birth comes without any struggle.

      Cheers!

      Thank you, Gloria,

You filled my heart with songs and now I’m singing among the stars. I’d be honored to have you as an “habitué”. And your comments will be always welcome.

      Cheers!
